Fair Use & Academic Integrity Policy

How our work is intended to be used.

1. Purpose of our service

MagicMarks.co.uk supplies model academic work as a learning aid and reference. Our service is intended to help UK university students:

  • Understand how academic arguments are structured
  • See examples of correct UK referencing
  • Get guidance on methodology and analysis
  • Identify gaps in their own draft work
  • Have professional editing and proofreading on their own writing

2. What you must NOT do

The work we deliver is supplied to you as your private property to use as a study aid. You agree not to:

  • Submit our work to your university as your own (this is contract cheating and breaches your university’s academic conduct policy)
  • Resell, redistribute, or republish our work
  • Misrepresent our work as the product of another author

How you use the work after delivery is your sole responsibility.

3. Why this matters

UK universities have strict rules on contract cheating under the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 and your institution’s academic regulations. Submitting purchased work as your own can result in failure, suspension or expulsion.

4. How to use our work appropriately

  • Read it as a study reference, then write your own version using your understanding
  • Use our referenced sources as a starting point for your own research
  • Treat our work like you would treat a textbook โ€” cite it, don’t copy it
  • If you ordered editing or proofreading, the original writing must remain yours

5. Plagiarism and AI-detection screening

Every piece is checked through Turnitin and a leading AI-detection tool before delivery. We send both reports to you free of charge so you can verify the work is original at the moment of delivery. Note: this is at delivery only โ€” what happens after is governed by how you use the work.

6. Refusal of service

We reserve the right to refuse service for orders we believe will be misused, including (but not limited to): closed-book exam questions, take-home assessments with strict academic integrity declarations, and unethical research topics.

Why thousands of UK university students choose MagicMarks every term

MagicMarks is a UK-based academic writing service founded to give every undergraduate, Master’s and PhD student in the United Kingdom access to clear, well-researched, professionally written model work. Our writers are not anonymous freelancers from random parts of the world. Every single member of our writing team holds at least a Master’s degree from a UK university, with the majority holding a PhD in their subject. They have written dissertations, sat exams and submitted coursework in the same UK higher education system that you are studying in right now, which means they understand exactly how British universities mark, what tutors look for in distinction-level work and how to structure a piece of academic writing in proper UK academic English.

Whatever you are studying, the brief is the same: marks at British universities are awarded for clear argumentation, critical engagement with the literature, accurate referencing in your required style, evidence of independent thought, structure, presentation and writing fluency. Our writers approach every order through that lens. They begin by reading your assignment brief carefully, identifying the marking criteria, mapping out a structure that addresses the question directly, then researching your topic using credible peer-reviewed sources, government publications, current case law, NICE guidelines, official statistics and reputable industry reports. They draft, redraft and edit until the work reads with a single, fluent academic voice.

A genuine commitment to academic integrity

Every paper that leaves MagicMarks is written from scratch in response to your specific brief. Nothing is recycled. Nothing is copied. Nothing is generated by an unedited AI engine and shipped to you. Before delivery, every single order is screened through Turnitin and through industry-standard AI detection software. If either report flags an issue, the work goes back to the writer and the senior editor and is rewritten until it returns a clean result. You receive both reports together with your paper at no additional cost so you can see for yourself that the work is original and human-written.

We also recognise that academic integrity policies at UK universities are strict, and rightly so. Our service is provided on the explicit basis that the work we produce is a model document โ€” a research and study aid that you can read, learn from and use to inform your own submission. Our fair-use policy and terms of service make this responsibility clear. We are proud that the overwhelming majority of our customers use our work the way it is intended: to understand a topic better, to see what a high-2:1 or first-class answer looks like, to learn how to argue in a particular style, and to get unstuck when a deadline is closing in.

Subject coverage tailored to UK degree programmes

Our subject specialists cover the full range of disciplines taught at British universities. We work with students reading Business and Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, International Business, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Supply Chain and Operations. We support students reading Law at LLB and LLM level across constitutional law, contract, tort, criminal law, EU law, public international law, human rights, company law, commercial law, intellectual property, family law, employment law and dissertation work in any specialism. We support Nursing students at adult, mental health, child and learning disability branches as well as midwifery, public health, healthcare management and advanced practice. We cover Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Social Work, Education, Politics and International Relations, History, English Literature, Linguistics, Media Studies, Communications and the wider humanities. We support Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems and the digital disciplines.

Our writers work to all of the major UK referencing styles, including Harvard, APA 7th edition, OSCOLA, MHRA, Vancouver, Chicago and IEEE. They format work to your university’s exact requirements, follow the word count to the letter, use the structure you have been asked to use and write in proper British English with UK spelling, UK punctuation and UK academic conventions throughout. Where your university has issued a specific assignment template or marking grid, we follow that too.

Confidential, encrypted and built around UK students

Privacy and confidentiality are the bedrock of how we operate. Your name, your university, your course, the brief you upload and the work we deliver to you are visible only to the small core team handling your order. We do not resell completed work, we do not share customer details with third parties for marketing, and we do not publish anything that you submit to us. Communication happens over an encrypted connection. Files are stored in encrypted cloud storage and removed from active systems within thirty days of your final approval, in line with our published privacy policy. We have served over twelve thousand UK university students since opening, and our 4.9 out of 5 average rating across more than twelve hundred verified reviews reflects how seriously we take that responsibility.

Free unlimited revisions for fourteen days

We do not charge extra for amendments. Once you receive your draft you have a full fourteen days to read it, share it with your tutor if you wish, ask for whatever changes you want and have those changes made by the same writer, free of charge, as many times as you need. Our internal turnaround on revision requests is fast โ€” typically a few hours for short tweaks and within twenty-four hours for substantive rewrites โ€” and you keep the same writer throughout so the voice and the argument stay consistent. If you ever feel the work is not what you ordered, our refund process is published transparently in our terms of service and is administered by senior staff, not by an automated chatbot.
